Peruvian culture is a beautiful mixture of Hispanic and native traditions. The Quechua and the Aymara are the two main native cultures of Peru. These Inca descendants have successfully developed and preserved their proud cultures despite the globalization. The old Inca seat of Cuzco is perceived as the cultural capital of the country of many people.
Peruvian typical dress is beautiful. There are different styles in different regions of the country. For example, many indigenous communities in the Andes highlands wear colorful ponchos and chullos (knitted caps). In the coastal region, women are often seen wearing colorful embroidered blouses and skirts. Peru’s traditional clothing reflects the country’s rich culture and history.
